We are delighted to announce that the Wedmore Real Ale Festival has received the prestigious Chair’s Award for Services to the Community from Somerset Council.
The award was attended by Dave Stone, one of the original and still-serving committee members, and James Turbitt, the current Chair of the Wedmore Real Ale Festival.
Commenting on the award, James Turbitt said:
“This recognition is a huge honour for the festival and for everyone who has contributed over the years. The Wedmore Real Ale Festival is entirely driven by volunteers and the support of the local community, and this award really belongs to all of them.”
Dave Stone added:
“When we first started the festival, we never imagined it would grow into something that could make such a positive impact on the community. It’s wonderful to see that work recognised, and it’s a testament to the dedication of everyone involved, past and present.”
