Our 17th festival, was our most successful yet.
Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, our wonderful volunteers and all those that attended, drank, bid, danced, raffled, ate and made merry at the 17th Wedmore Real Ale Festival, we’re delighted to announce that this year’s festival was our most successful festival yet and generated a whopping £17,500 for local worthy causes.
Representatives from no less than 18 local beneficiaries gathered at our annual presentation night on Saturday 14th October held at The Swan in Wedmore and picked up cheques ranging from £200 to £2,500, that will in turn provide welcome assistance to a wide and varied cross section of our community.
The concept of the WRAF from its infancy to the present day has always been about promoting and championing real ale. It’s a fantastic coincidence for one and all that in doing so we’ve raised and donated £168,071.00 in the last 17 years to the local worthy causes.
